Course Description
Job loss ranks among the top stressors of modern life, but few people recognize it as the traumatic experience that it can be. This course examines job loss through the lens of the grief cycle.
Completing this course with clients will help them understand the cycle of grief as it applies to their job loss, how to recognize the impact it has on every facet of their lives and how to recognize what phase of the cycle they are in. It examines some healthy coping mechanisms, and how they can be used in clients’ everyday lives to help gain perspective and build their emotional resilience as they try to plan for the next stage of their lives.
