Course Description
This 12-module learning plan was developed to introduce participants to the immigration system in Canada. Each module consists of written information, webinars, and links to external resources that can be used to support immigrants. This learning plan is designed to be the go-to resource for accessing information about the available programs and services while working with employers, individuals, and newcomers navigating the immigration system in Canada.

 

Skills to be Developed

  • Identifying NOC codes
  • Identifying the different levels of immigration in Canada’s Federal and Provincial programs
  • Identifying the roles of employers in the process
  • Ability to access local supports
  • Understanding the newcomer’s perspective

Course Structure
This learning plan consists of twelve modules, a terminology wiki, and ten webinars embedded throughout. This learning plan will take approximately 10 hours to complete.
