Due to the severity of hurricane Fiona and the devastation across the province, specifically in Cape Breton, we have decided to postpone our regional event scheduled for September 29th at the Cape Breton Membertou Trade and Convention Center. During this time, we want to recognize the needs of our members, staff, and all Nova Scotians that our members, partners, and we serve. There are still a considerable number of homes and businesses within the province currently without power. Restoration will take time, and individuals will need time to deal with the aftermath once the power is restored.

We are looking at rescheduling and will communicate that to all our members as soon as possible. In the meantime, please contact Chantelle Marshall at cmarshall@nscda.ca concerning your registration payment. Chantelle will be able to discuss options regarding reimbursement or allocation to the next event. Please note, if you have booked hotel reservations for the event you will need to contact the hotel to cancel asap. Also, please disregard any automatic reminders that our system might send for the event. We have attempted to cancel these reminders; however, some may have already gone out. If you have any other questions regarding the event, please contact Connie Corse at ccorse@nscda.ca. We will communicate any information on new dates for the event once we have secured it.

As we move forward, we want to bring the in-person experience that we have missed for so long back to as many people as possible. So, this year, in lieu of a virtual conference, we will be holding FOUR regional events, and our first one is in September.

Regional Event Program

Our first event will be held in Cape Breton on September 29^th at the Membertou Trade and Convention Centre. The theme of Inspire, Elevate, and Create will be woven throughout the sessions, coming together at the end of the day with an exciting and inspirational keynote address, followed by a fun filled networking event.
